IBACOS' passion for high-performing homes was the catalyst for its work to help production homebuilders standardize their construction practices, train their team and affect change where it matters most—in the field.
Through its work in training leading production builders on building science-related topics, IBACOS recognized the industry need for a comprehensive, systemized approach that included the establishment of clear quality standards, as well as the systems and methodologies needed to measure success.
From this, the “Construction Scorecard,” and what is known today as a Construction Quality Assessment (CQA) were born. The scorecard encompasses all major building systems, including all the regional variation in construction practices, and provides a platform on which in-field assessments can be conducted and scored consistently, across the country. This comprehensive tool not only provides “scores,” but also offers an outlet through which suggestions and improvements can be provided, detailed and subsequently measured.
Following the implementation of the early scorecard, IBACOS developed a Construction Standards Library as well as a training curriculum; both of which are still in use today to drive standardization, avoid risk issues and consistently deliver quality homes… across the board.

“PERFORM enables field teams to excel… to more consistently deliver high-quality, high-performing homes that in turn, cost less to build, cost less to warrant, and exceed buyers’ expectations.”
With four components to the offering―Assure, Train, Assess, Respond―IBACOS works with a wide variety of production homebuilders through the PERFORM program to help them consistently deliver quality through:
“IBACOS has helped homebuilders develop and implement robust quality management systems that have saved builders tens, if not hundreds, of millions of dollars.”
IBACOS has been able to help both large and small production homebuilders develop and implement robust quality management systems for their construction operations that in turn, have saved builders tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars. Embracing the tools and processes required to make quality a top priority is pivotal to helping builders achieve the levels of quality and performance that set them apart while adding profits to builders’ bottom lines.
