What We Believe

Vision

On the quest to deliver zero-energy homes, builders must integrate their business practices and building technologies to find cost-effective solutions.

What makes a home great?

Whether a home is newly constructed or a hundred years old, it should be a home of outstanding quality and high performance—one that is affordable to buy, easy to maintain, suitable for one's lifestyle, and a solid return on one's investment.

We believe that a home should be:

  • Energy Efficient
  • Durable
  • Safe
  • Healthy
  • Comfortable
  • Environmentally Responsible

Whole-house approach

To achieve a home with all of these attributes, the industry needs new processes and methods that create greater value for the consumer and the builder. Success requires a different way of thinking about the way homes are built and delivered. Central to our vision is a more integrated, whole-house, systems approach to planning, designing and constructing a home—optimizing how all the parts interrelate and perform more effectively together.

Collaboration

We believe that no one has all the answers or can transform the industry alone. Innovation and collaboration are necessary between the smartest people and organizations in the housing industry in order to create homes that are simply better places to live. To this end, IBACOS has founded, and is the managing member of an industrywide collaborative, called the Best Practices Research Alliance.
