PITTSBURGH, PA - BuildIQ has teamed up with Scripps Networks' websites, HGTV.com, HGTVPro.com, and DIYNetwork.com, to provide homeowners and do-it-yourselfers with the BuildIQ Home Care Guide, a web tool with comprehensive information on routine home care and maintenance.

With more than 50 topics, the Home Care Guide addresses how to ensure a home works right and looks good, inside and out. Popular topics in the Home Care Guide include exhaust fans, tile and grout, toilets, AFCIs and GFCIs, furnace heating, thermostats, brick, and water heaters. These topics and more span eight areas of the home where homeowners require the most knowledge.

Most importantly, the Home Care Guide's information is in-depth, diving beneath the surface to embolden homeowners to care for and maintain their home properly. It offers the following types of information on topics:

Overviews: Descriptions that build understanding, providing important background information to answer the question "why."
Maintenance: A list of the key care and maintenance checkpoints for a topic. The checkpoints concisely describe what to do and may be accompanied by helpful illustrations.
