IBACOS Partners in New Cable Television Project

As customer demand for quality homes increases, construction professionals are becoming increasingly interested in learning how to build better performing homes. IBACOS, though sister company BuildIQ, is partnering with Scripps Networks, the parent of cable television’s HGTV and The DIY (Do It Yourself) Network, to bring Best Practices in Homebuilding™ to construction professionals and performance-minded consumers through HGTV Pro.

HGTV Pro, an Internet-based network, was launched this month (January 2005). The objective of HGTV Pro will be to provide industry professionals with online information about Best Practices in Homebuilding™, with expertise provided by IBACOS and BuildIQ. Segments from HGTV Pro will air on The DIY Network and HGTV.

HGTV Pro will also feature a show home project in which IBACOS is involved: The New American Home® (TNAH), an annual showcase project of innovative new technologies and energy efficiency. IBACOS, through the DOE’s Building America Program, has partnered in this exceptional project for four years and has been involved in the design, construction, and testing. Scripps Network’s commitment to featuring Best Practices in Homebuilding(SM) indicates a growing public interest in quality and energy efficiency, and IBACOS and BuildIQ are proud to support this new venture. HGTV Pro is only the latest product of the growing relationship between IBACOS and Scripps, though. The DIY Network’s “Home IQ” show features the construction of the IBACOS Demonstration Home.
