What's New at IBACOS

The New American Home (TNAH) 2007

Construction on The New American Home 2007 is scheduled to begin this winter in Orlando, Florida . The New American Home® is an annual showcase project designed by The New American Home Task Force and co-sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders' National Council of the Housing Industry and Builder Magazine. The goal of The New American Home® is to incorporate the best building ideas and technologies in the industry with key features including energy efficiency, durability, and comfort.

IBACOS, through the Building America program, is working with Homes by Carmen Domniguez to make this annual showcase home a shining example of energy efficiency. They plan to achieve 40% whole house energy savings or greater compared to a typical new home.

The 5,800 square foot home will stand three stories tall and will include a basement. It will be equipped with a separate two car garage with living space overhead. Construction is estimated to be complete by October, 2006.
